DIY Foot Reflexology Massage
Sometimes, your feet just need attention RIGHT NOW. This is a basic video that demonstrates some of the strokes and techniques I use with my clients and on myself. This video is for entertainment/home use purposes only. I am not a massage instructor and have not studied reflexology beyond what I need for my massage clients. Please do not try this on yourself if you are pregnant or if there are medications or medical conditions with which this may interfere. About reflexology: Reflexology utilizes specific points on the feet that interact with organs throughout the body. It is often associated with Asian healing arts because sore points in the feet are said to be caused by blocked chi (qi, or ki- life energy) in the organs. Massaging those points in the feet can allow the chi to flow normally again through the body, promoting good health. Anecdotal evidence for many years has indicated its effectiveness, however Western-style medical studies have not shown it to be a reliable therapy. I don’t particularly care what Western science says as long as my clients are happy and it feels good on my feet when I do it to myself.
