HCG Diet Results
I haven't posted since about 5
days ago. Not because I've quit or something, only because my
life has been a little hectic and talking about my HCG diet
results has not been a priority.
Today I woke up early so I have time to
give you some HCG diet result banter.
August 30 - DAY 17 - Weight 232.6 HUNGER - Irritating
I say irritating because over the past few days I've been
fighting with the desire to munch on something, not due to any
real hunger, but just because of a nervous desire to eat
something. I have tried to think of what I would eat to make it
go away, and come to the conclusion, that nothing would help.
This is the problem that I hope will be gone once I am done
with the HCG diet.
In fact, that is probably what makes me gain weight after
dieting. What I am trying to do right now, is mentally prepare
myself for these types of days. Even though I hope that they
will not be a part of my life, I still want to plan on
overcoming these days of food mania.

I must have a really bad case of Candida. I have seen a few
sites about Candida and the hcg diet and it looks like my
weight loss will probably be less and my hunger a problem since
I did not do the cleanse. I'm not going to give up now, but I
have to say I'm regreting not doing the cleanse. If I had, I
probably would not have the creapy desire to eat when I'm not
hungry.

Basically, I will eat celery or a tiny bit of salsa if I have
it in the frig. Fruit is wonderful during these times, but
sometimes it's not enough. I certainly do NOT want to eat
anything that is not part of the approved HCG diet foods.
I know this is not real hunger so I need to plan for these days
by having a lot of celery and salsa in the frig. Even if you
eat a bucketfull of celery, you're not going to gain any
weight. Maybe some water weight, but nothing more. These are
the most dangerous times for those of us who have weight
issues. Be prepared... that is the key...
Over the past 6 days my weight has not changed much. Two days
ago it lowered by .6 lbs and yesterday another .6 lbs. So, as
of yesterday I was at 324.0. Today I lost 1.6 lbs from
yesterday so I am happy to report, it's still coming off.
Let's see, I've lost a total of 11 lbs now. The HCG diet says
you lose about a pound a day, but that is an average. Not
everyone will lose that much weight daily. I am not going the
full 45 days this time due to our vacation coming up in Oct. I
want to make sure by then I can eat anything I want, since
buying organic food and dieting on vacation is rather
rediculas. If you want to plan to fail, that I think is the way
to do it.
Here's a few facts that help me keep a positive attitude on the
days I don't see any weight loss. Actually, seeing none in
about 5 days, so this should be helpful to you as well.
#1. It takes 3500 calories to make up or take away a lb of
fat.
Hm... Okay, so if you calculate how many calories you are
losing everyday, you'll realize you are falling short of that
number. I know my body is burning around 2500 calories or more
per day. Since I walk an hour almost everyday, I am burning an
extra 300 or more. My normal caloric need is about 2300 per
day.
Okay, so let's see how that fits into my daily food intake.
Food = 500 calories eaten
HCG Injections = 2000 burned (aprox.)
So, I am burning an average of 2000 calories a day. That's
14000 per week, making my lb loss about 4 lbs per week. Herm...
you know what? That is almost exactly what I've lost. I'm into
my third week and lost 10 lbs so far. That's an average of 4
lbs per week.
Now then... my buddette, who's started this diet only 2 days
after I did, has lost 15 lbs so far. So, she IS actually
averaging a pound per day. Go figure! However, everyone is
totally different. I suspect that due to her excellent health,
even though she is almost exactly the same weight and hight as
I am, she is burning calories faster than me.
Also, my body has been delaying my monthly cycle since I
started. So, I figure, I'll have another 3 lb drop once I
finally have one.
#2. For the past 4 or 5 days, every morning I've been measuring
the keytones in my urine. The results are clear, I am burning
fat. The keytone stick is always dark purple. It goes from
light to dark purple to indicate the metallization of fat.
Since mine has been dark purple, I know that I'm burning it
rather well.
